Safety Protocols:
Each vehicle is designed to meet ADA standards. Drivers have successfully completed state-issued wheelchair safety courses. We adhere to strict inspections yearly. We secure each wheelchair at 4 points, as well as securing each passenger with a safety belt that includes a shoulder restraint.
Everyone in the vehicle must wear a facemask. We will provide a mask if a passenger does not have one.
Vehicles are disinfected daily at the end of each workday with a hospital-grade disinfectant.
Our certifications
CPR Certified
All New Era Transportation drivers are CPR and First Aid Certified.
Illinois Department of Transportation
All New Era Transportation vehicles must pass vehicle safety inspections several times per year. New Era Transportation only uses inspection sites approved by the Illinois Department of Transportation.
